UGIFICU Pledges Support for Entebbe UMEA Primary School

Entebbe, Uganda – The Director of Communication, Public Relations and Marketing at the Uganda Islamic Finance Cooperative Union (UGIFICU), Prof Adnan Ali Adikata has assured Entebbe UMEA Primary School of the organisation's commitment to supporting its development. The assurance was made during the school's inaugural talent show day, which attracted pupils, parents, teachers, and headteachers from neighbouring schools. As part of the support initiative, the Director pledged to introduce the school management to UGIFICU's international partners operating in education support within the region. The collaboration is expected to enhance the school's infrastructure development and boost student enrolment through targeted assistance from these global partners.

A high-powered delegation from the Islamic Development Foundation of Tanzania has arrived in Uganda for a weeklong visit, aimed at assessing undeveloped endowment (waqf) sites, Muslim schools, and mosques across the country. The delegation, led by Chairman Mr Ayoub, included Mr Maadh, the coordinator for the Lake Zone region, and Secretary General Abu Ammar Amir Said, and is part of a broader fact-finding mission to explore opportunities for collaboration and development within the Muslim community.

The one-day event brought together corporate mothers from diverse professional backgrounds to discuss strategies for advancing women's economic participation and financial inclusion. In her address, Dr. Gyadenda underscored the transformative power of financial independence, cautioning that money, while essential, should not become a source of marital strife or family discord.
