*Beyond Business Cards: Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyagenda Champions Global Partnerships at Africa Asia Middle East Chamber of Commerce Summit in Nairobi*

Nairobi, Kenya — The ballroom of Hotel Boulevard in Nairobi hummed with the energy of continents converging. Delegates from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East moved between tables and handshakes, but for Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyagenda, Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Islamic Finance Cooperative Union (UGIFICU), the gathering was never about the exchange of paper. It was about the exchange of purpose. Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyagenda led a UIFCU delegation to the Africa Asia Middle East Chamber of Commerce (AAMECC) summit, held under the theme "Beyond Business Cards" a fitting banner for a leader whose work has long transcended formalities in favour of meaningful, values-driven partnerships. She was joined by two key members of her leadership team: Mr. Ali Idris, Director of Investment, and Hadija Rajab, Director of Relief and Humanitarian Affairs, a trio whose complementary mandates reflect the cooperative union's twin pillars of financial empowerment and compassionate service.

The summit brought together business entities from across the world, creating a rare tri-regional platform for trade, investment, and collaboration. For UGIFICU, the timing could not have been better. With Islamic finance gaining momentum across East Africa, the cooperative union is positioning itself as a bridge between local communities and global markets and Nairobi offered the ideal meeting point.

Throughout the sessions, Dr. Wsrdah Rajab-Gyagenda engaged with investors, chamber representatives, and entrepreneurs from the Gulf, South Asia, and across the African continent. Discussions centred on Shariah-compliant investment opportunities, cooperative financing models, and cross-border partnerships that can deliver both profit and social impact.

Mr. Ali Idris, whose docket covers investment, explored avenues for channeling capital into Uganda's cooperative sector from agriculture and real estate to small and medium enterprise financing.

For Hadija Rajab, the summit was equally a platform for the humanitarian dimension of UIFCU's mission. She held discussions on relief partnerships, zakat and waqf-linked programming, and collaboration with international organisations seeking credible local partners for humanitarian delivery.

For Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyagenda, the theme of the summit captured her leadership philosophy precisely. "A business card introduces you," she told fellow delegates. "But it is trust, shared values, and follow-through that build nations. We came to Nairobi not merely to be seen, but to be useful, to forge partnerships that will translate into real opportunities for our members and real impact in our communities."

The Uganda Islamic Finance Cooperative Union leaves Nairobi with more than contacts. It leaves with memoranda of understanding in discussion, investment leads to pursue, and a strengthened place in a global network that stretches from Kampala to the Gulf and beyond.

As the summit closed, Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyagenda summed up the moment "The world is looking at Africa with new eyes. Our task is to meet that gaze with competence, integrity, and readiness. Nairobi was a step. The journey continues."
