Entebbe, Uganda – The Director of Communication, Public Relations and Marketing at the Uganda Islamic Finance Cooperative Union (UGIFICU), Prof Adnan Ali Adikata has assured Entebbe UMEA Primary School of the organisation's commitment to supporting its development. The assurance was made during the school's inaugural talent show day, which attracted pupils, parents, teachers, and headteachers from neighbouring schools.

As part of the support initiative, the Director pledged to introduce the school management to UGIFICU's international partners operating in education support within the region. The collaboration is expected to enhance the school's infrastructure development and boost student enrolment through targeted assistance from these global partners.

The talent show, which showcased the creative abilities of pupils from Entebbe UMEA Primary School and neighbouring institutions, provided a platform for community engagement and highlighted the school's vibrant extracurricular environment. The event brought together education stakeholders, including teachers and school heads, who commended the initiative.

The partnership aligns with UGIFICU's broader efforts to strengthen institutional capacities across Uganda. The organisation recently participated in a webinar on Islamic finance fundamentals organized by SESRIC in collaboration with Türkiye's Participation Banks Association, focusing on practical applications of financing models and Shariah governance.  UGIFICU is part of a growing movement to improve service delivery in Uganda's education and health sectors, as highlighted by government programs such as the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer (UGIFT) Programme, which has constructed 144 seed secondary schools and upgraded health facilities across the country. 

The Director expressed confidence that the partnership would yield tangible benefits for Entebbe UMEA Primary School, reinforcing UGIFICU's commitment to community development through strategic collaboration.
